Being new to the real estate market, we had no clue as to where to begin our search for a place that we could call home. Dave helped us through the process and explained the procedure in ways that we understood. Then the search began. We wanted a home. We didn’t just want a house. We wanted someplace that we could start making our family memories. We had a unique situation that would have made most agents pass us on to someone else. We needed more living space than most and we wanted a place that we could add our own touches too and make it ours. Dave Johnson was a great asset to our family purchasing our first home.  He devoted many hours over the course of a year to looking at existing homes and short sales, then, finally, purchasing a lot and building, as we realized that would better fit our needs. He always offered current and reliable information to aid our decision making.  Dave remained confident through a few declined offers and many home showings, even though some were against his recommendation, knowing he wanted us to be happy with our purchase.  I greatly appreciated Dave’s patience and ability to sit idle when searching was slow, while past agents were calling and nagging on a nightly basis.  He was also willing and able to deal with my impatience as we pushed hard at the end to beat the first time homebuyer tax credit deadline. My wife and I put our house on the market in 2006, it was a little late in the season and we didn’t sell. We took it off the market because we didn’t want to move in the middle of the winter and for other considerations. We also didn’t feel that we had been treated like we expected to be treated by the listing agent. When 2007 rolled around my wife and I decided that we would find someone who would listen to our concerns and act accordingly. We called a few different real estate agencies and when we talked to Dave we decided that we liked what we heard on the phone and asked him to come to our house and talk with us face to face so that we could see if he could do what we wanted. After that meeting my wife and I decided that Dave was the person that we wanted to handle the sale of our house. This past summer was not the best time to sell a house but Dave kept pursuing different venues to give our house the exposure needed to sell. Every time that our house was shown Dave would follow up with the agent who showed the house for their feedback. He kept us informed as the market changed and presented us with market comparisons on a regular basis. I feel that Dave is a straight shooter and did a lot of work to make sure that our house got the best exposure and we did eventually sell our house thanks to Dave’s efforts.
